There are lots of Android tablet available in the market especially in low end price, but none of them are really coming with 4G connectivity. Most of them will only feature of WIFI as the only way to connect into the internet. Well, that is not a bad thing, but I am sure users will need of mobile connectivity especially when you go to rural area where not all of areas are covered by WIFI. For this case, the Chuwi Hi9 could be a good option for you here. The device only costs for under 250 dollars and you will have a fully working tablet with LTE connectivity, deca cores CPU, 10 inch 2K resolution display, and big battery capacity.
Not even of some Chinese manufactures are able to provide the similar specification at the same price level. You are not going to find a similar performance like Samsung Tab S4 10.5, but its performance should be much better than most of devices available right now. Let’s take a look inside and see how it works on us. That is what we are going to talk about on this article. Without further ado, let’s we jump into the article.
Case and Looks
In term of design, I notice they put an identical design like Chuwi Hi9 Pro and what makes difference is basically the screen size. I love of its form factor build as the entire case is built from aluminum. I just notice only the removable top or the SIM cards and micro SD card covers are made from plastic. The back panel itself is made from aluminum and finished with black matte finishing surface. The surface does not become a fingerprint magnet pretty easily although I recommend you to put at least a plastic cover considering its get scratched easily.
Moving to the front, you should see a 10 inch IPS panel and it has been fully laminated. I don’t see a gap between the panel and the touchscreens, I can sure it’s fully laminated. Unfortunately, I am not sure the front panel is protected by some kind of glass protection, but I see the glass does not scratch easily during my test. As for the rear side, you soon notice couple of buttons, dual SIM slots, and a micro SD slot for expanding the storage.back to menu ↑
Display and Camera
I thought they put of 10.1 inch IPS panel with 1080p resolution, but I am surprised to see of 2560 x 1600 resolution for this case. In my opinion, the display quality is not as good as AMOLED panel, but at least looks better than some panels I have seen in lot of devices. I can see the panel shows the images very brightly and the color accuracy is decent. With its big screen size, streaming movies and playing games feel so perfect and should give you the best experience you are able to see in budget price. This could be a good consideration for taking it as your old system replacement.
The camera is not going to be the biggest selling point here, but at least they still work for taking some pictures and record a video. You have of 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front pacing camera for having of selfie. The front camera fully supports of 4K resolution video recording, but it’s limited to only 30 FPS. As for the front camera, it takes a decent picture although the images are bit over saturated and look bland. Your smartphone camera will do the job much better here.

Performance and Battery
The Helio X20 processor is featured as the main hardware for powering the entire system. The processor features of 10 cores CPU which divided into three different clusters. There are two clusters of Cortex A53 CPU operated between 1.4 GHz to 1.8 GHz. The rest of single cluster CPU works as the performance mode where it has dual core A72 CPU clocked up to 2.3 GHz. In my opinion, the CPU architecture is bit weird because having too many CPU won’t improve the performance. In good way, you won’t have any problem in matter of performance because most of games included of PUBG Mobile and Lineage will run without any problem.
Doing light gaming and streaming movies will give you battery usage for around 6 to 7 hours while more demanding usage should offer you nearly 5 hours of usage. There is 8000 mAh battery inside and good for full day usage with a single charge each day. Unfortunately, we have no fast charging support and charging the battery will take a decent time here. I have tried to use 3.0 fast charging adapter and it shows a similar result. Just make sure to not leave the battery to be fully empty for avoiding the waiting time.back to menu ↑
The Chuwi Hi9 Air is probably one of the best 10 inch tablets to see in 2018. There is almost nothing to complaint about and almost every feature works wonderfully during of my test. The under 250 dollars price is actually pretty decent and none of other manufacture can beat this matter. You should also see the Chuwi Hi9 Pro 8.4 if you look for something smaller and even cheaper to afford. The choice is yours, so feel free to take any consideration about it.
