Spectre 13 is probably the best looking machine that we could find in this year. We actually could not judge it only by its cover, but the design is really that good to see. HP once again, makes their position as the premium brand. They have provided us a premium product in such a really nice price. This could be a good alternative for Macbook Pro if you are getting tired with it. I guess you really want to see more from it.
Well, I got the chance to test it and have few important things to tell about. There are so many great things to find here including the incredible thin and light design, the screen which is top notch, great performance on multitasking and many more. But, it also have some bad things that can be annoying for some reasons such as the fan that too noisy and battery draining.
That is what we are going to talk about here. We are going to talk about it further on this article and know how it performs. To make it easier for you to understand, let’s we jump into the article.
The design looks so fancy and premium with the ceramic white color. Both of black and white colors are good, but I prefer the silver white one since its extremely fancy on my hands. It might looks as premium, but the design is actually so simple. There is only a HP logo that is placed on the center of the lid. There is nothing more to find on its lid.
When you open the cover, we are going to find the full size keyboard that is surrounded by a touch screen display. The display is surrounded by a very thin display that makes it almost bezel-less. The speaker itself is placed under the keyboard and features a nice pattern.
With the dimension that only at 12.8 x 9 x 0.4 inches inches, the machine is considered as very slim and it almost gives no room for USB ports. As for this case, the company swapped with USB type-C port for charging and Thunderbolt ports. You will have some problems on connecting our device and luckily, HP has included bunch of adapters on the package.back to menu ↑
The 13.3 screen with 1080p resolution is something common on this price range. There are lots of products outside there that comes with this specification. Here, it gives you the same display with colorful colors and details, but bad on the brightness. The screen is not as bright as I got on many laptops I have tested. You might need to adjust the brightness a bit more when you really want to get all of details on the movie you watch.
On the test itself, it produces of 110 percent of gamut colors and 285 nits of light meter. The color reproduction is better in comparable with Lenovo Yoga and only slightly behind with Dell XPS 13 and Macbook Pro. The quality on this case is still acceptable and you will never have any problem on using it for many hours.

Keyboard And Touchpad
The keyboard is redesigned to fit of its small chassis. As the result, there are not much of key travels that it brings. Despite, the key travel is only around 1.3 millimeters, the keyboard is still clicky and comfortable to use. In my opinion, it’s better than new Macbook that for some reasons too shallow for me. I tested it for a while and basically I could type for more than 110 words per minute on my test. The result is higher than my average and still promising.
The touchpad is also doing their good job on tracking my movement. The touchpad is quite big and have enough of rooms. More importantly, it feels accurate and fast. I did not have any problem on browsing the internet or accessing my documents on the system. The Windows 10 gesture support is also there and means we could do anything we like with it.back to menu ↑

Those things are not so bad especially if we look into the price. The choice is yours, so make sure to pick the good thing. I just hope the information is good enough for you. At last, thank you for reading the article and see you again.
