Chinese manufacture is always well known for their quality products that over its budget. On smartphone, we have big name like Xioami and Huawei that manage to provide premium smartphone in low budget price. On other side on Windows, we only have few worthy names like Chuwi and ALLDOCUBE. For this case, we are going to take look into ALLDOCUBE K-Note which stealing my attentions as it promises many great things that feel impossible for 300 dollars. It features of fully portable design, full HD IPS display, and Intel Apollo Lake processor.
If you are able to find similar choices here, then it probably costs you more than 500 dollars like Acer Spin 1 on this case. I have checked the laptop for a while right now and really impressed by overall quality especially on its display that appeared to be bright and details. This might a worth budget device that worth to take look in 2018. Let’s find out how it manages to satisfy our needs. We are going to talk about it further on this article. As for now, let’s we jump into the article.
Premium Aluminum Design
Trust me; it’s impossible for anyone to guess it’s as a cheap machine because the design really looks pretty great here. The overall look itself really reminds me on what Samsung has done with their Galaxy Book. The colors selections and build are very similar here, but I notice the KNote has better build quality here because the entire tablet is created from aluminum and not plastic. It feels solid, light, and comfortable to even hold with single hand. Measuring at 11.4 x 7.1 x 0.3 inches, the system is only weight for nearly 1.71 pounds and looking great for travel as it fits nicely on my small bag.
I have checked everything here and not finding any issue in build quality and finishing. The aluminum material is coated in silver and looks and feels comfortable on hands. The tablet has rounded edges around the corner and accompanied by few useful ports connectivity. No USB 3.0 port available here and swapped with USB type-C for charging and transferring data. For expanding the storage, we get of micro SD slot that supports for up to 128GB.back to menu ↑
Crisp Display and Mechanical Keyboard
This is going to be perfect media consumption for you because you are no longer need struggle with crappy 1366 x 768 resolution display. The 11.6 inch display here featured with 1920 x 1080p display that produced by JDI. The bezel surrounded the display itself is quite thin and when you press the power button off, you soon notice the bezel is fully integrated with the screen. In term of quality, I have nothing to complain here as the brightness and color accuracy are so impressive. It won’t match the OLED panel that Samsung puts on their tablets, but should provide you an enjoyable experience in doing anything moreover with 16:9 aspect ratios that perfect in both vertical and horizontal positioning.
As for the keyboard, it offers us a cover type keyboard that attached through magnetic slot. The keyboard here is not useful for only typing, but works as protective cover to protect the screen. When it’s attached, I manage to type for 80 to 90 words per minute in my first test. The keys have nice feedback and travel depth for typing your document. At bottom of keyboard, there is small touchpad that allows you to navigate through the system during traditional mode.

Software and Hardware
The Windows 10 Home edition is shipped here and pre-installed with minimal bloatware. I only find of regular applications like Cortana and Skype installed here and it’s removable from Control Panel. This is a fully working Windows 10 and works pretty similarly like we have on traditional laptop. To power this entire thing, the device is powered by Intel Apollo Lake N3450 with 2.2 GHz maximum clock. i am running of some benchmark here and it scores for 88 thousands on Antutu V6 test. This score is pretty standard and only meant for light activity like office usage, checking email, and browsing to internet.
Furthermore for the battery life, I always reach of maximum 8 hours usage in running of 1080p movies for nonstop. The battery life is better than Lenovo Miix 320, but still slightly less than Lenovo Idepad 120S for this case. I think it’s normal to have shorter battery here as the screen is totally bright even at 50 percent brightness level. If you find yourself in need for portable and solid laptop, then you would likely never find better choice than this product.back to menu ↑
I do not really recommend you take the KNote as PC replacement because the performance is not dependable for heavy usage. But, if you need a convertible laptop for checking email and editing document, I think you should not be bothered on finding alternative here. This is another time where Chinese manufactures provide worthy product than bigger name like Acer and ASUS. The choice is yours, so feel free to take any consideration you want. I just hope the information provided is useful for you. At last, thank you for reading the article and mind leaving any comment for further assistance regarding the article.
