Nowadays, a luxurious and more stylish business system is getting lot of attention from the consumers and the manufactures know that making a mainstream device is not going to make their consumers are interested on seeing their product. For this case, we see that Lenovo is combining their Yoga and Thinkpad series into such a portable and full usable laptop with Thinkpad X1 Yoga. You probably know the product is a huge hit and some companies are following their step. Dell is finally introducing their version convertible business notebook with Dell Latitude 7390. There is lot of things to love from it including its performance, solid battery life, and the sturdy case.
In term of pricing, the price point itself is only slightly more expensive than its traditional version. If you’re planning to buy a full usable portable laptop, then this likely would be your top consideration. I think its worth for us to take look inside and see how it turns out to be. That is what we are going to talk about here. Without further ado, let’s we jump into the article.
Light and Sturdy Design
The design is impressive in my opinion as it’s appeared to be sturdy and light at the same time. The chassis is entirely built from magnesium alloy material that finished in black matte finishing. The look is breath taking and fits nicely into any situations you want. Similarly, like their new Dell XPS 13, the hinge system used here is quite different because the company now puts of central hinge system rather than putting of more conventional hinge system. As the result, the display is sturdier and more flexible to move around. Weighting at 1.4 KG, the device is considered as one of the lightest 13 inch product available right now.
In term of build quality, I think I am impressed by how they manage to put it so weight, luxurious, and sturdy. I have seen similar case here on LG Gram, but I think Dell is doing better here because they cover it in such a nice and well-crafted finishing. On the other hand, the LG Gram looks plain and too simple. Moving into its connectivity, we receive of four USB ports included of two USB type-A ports and two USB type-C Thunderbolt 3 that one of them works for charging the battery. As the companion, it has of HDMI, audio jack, and micro SD slot for expanding the storage. The overall design and everything are overwhelmingly well.back to menu ↑
Impressive Keyboard and Display
I have to say that I am not a big fan on typing at 13 inch machine. The only system that capable on giving a comfortable way for typing in this segment is probably Apple with their Macbook Pro. I do not give much hope for this case, but surprisingly the keyboard is incredibly excellent. The keys have of good spacing and nice feedback and immediately offering a nice impression for their users. The backlighting support is also positive here as it features of two different level of brightness. If you expect a small machine for supporting your productivity, then I recommend you to take look into this one.
As for the display, Dell is using of 13.3 inch 1920 X 1080p IPS display here. The company said they put of matte or anti-glare finishing, but the screen is actually so reflective when getting into the light. For adding extra protection as this is a 2 in 1 laptop, Dell also puts of Gorilla glass protection that feels solid. In term of quality, I think 85 percent of SRGB color space and 312 nits brightness are detail and bright enough for multiple occasional situations. Using it for outdoor is not a big problem since 300 nits is totally bright even during the middle of day.

The Windows 10 Pro version is pre-installed here alongside with proprietary applications from Dell that could be deleted easily from Control Panel if you think it is not necessary. The system itself is almost free from bloatware although still running the old version from Windows 10. For powering the operating system, the Intel Core I5-8350U is appeared as the main power for processing everything. This processor is a modified or an overclock version from Core I5 8250U and brings much higher clock rate at 1.7 GHz base clock and 3.6 GHz boosted clock. Testing it with Cinnebench and PCMark, this CPU is slightly faster, but not so different at end result. On running application and doing multitask works no single lag or stuttering found in normal usage. It’s capable of running 20 tabs on Chrome until its 8GB RAM showing their limit.
This is a fantastic laptop to depend for finishing our work moreover with its long last battery life. Well, the performance is powerful and I never expect the battery can be this really good. I mostly get around 9 to 10 hours usage on my surfing test. 10 hours is amazing as its competitors only manage to provide around 7 to 8 hours of battery. The 60 Wh battery is the reason everything is possible here.back to menu ↑
