ASUS Zenbook UX370UA is a 13 inch convertible system that promises so many numerous features to its end users. The 360 degree hinge system itself is allowing you to transform it into multiple functionalities included of tablet mode for reading mode, tent mode for presentation, and the traditional mode for doing your work. All these features then come in such a thin and light device that easy to carry around. You might wonder how powerful the laptop is, keep in mind what we get to power the entire system is Intel Core I57 7500U from 7th generation which powerful enough to let you running anything you want.
Last year, I have reviewed the Flip UX360UA and its actually making me surprised on how ASUS could make everything looks promising and worthy to check all about. Although its new generation does not bring much different in design, but we still can expect of lighter design, more bezel-less display, and performance upgrade. I think its worth for us to take look inside and see how it works on satisfying our needs. That is what we are going to talk about here. Without further ado, let’s we jump into the article.
Design and Connectivity
The entire case of Zenbook UX370UA is mostly built from aluminium construction and once again available in many impressive good looking colors like Grey and Royal Blue. For this review, I am getting the black one as this is the only version I could find right now. I recommend you see all of its colors choices because it looks very wonderful and eye catching. The blue version itself looks more highlighted while the black one is more modest. In term of build quality, I think the construction is impressively well made here. By giving its some pressure, I do not see its warping even when pushing it around the keyboard area. Overall, I am so satisfied on both of design and its construction.
Weighting for around 1.1 kg, the device is considered as one of the lightest system available right now. Keep mind, for some reasons it has larger footprint than most of its competitor, but the weight itself is very light and carrying it with single hand feels breeze. As for the connectivity, you cannot find of standard USB 3.0 ports here and they swap it back with 2 USB type-C ports without Thunderbolt 3 support. You are forced to use external adapter here and might bother some users for this case.back to menu ↑
Display and Input
The 13 inch display is equipped with 1920 x 1080p IPS panel and coming with 16 PPI pixel densities. The 4K version is also available if you really want something really promising for professional photo and video editing. The 1080p version itself is more than enough as it covers good brightness level and SRGB color space. It gets 90 percent SRGB color and producing 321 nits of brightness. The color accuracy is nearly perfect while the brightness is considered as the most balance between bright and battery saving. I really do not have anything to complaint from this sector.
As for the input, the 6 rows keyboard fits perfectly into its small chassis, but unfortunately coming with very short travel distant. Although the pressure point feels nice here, I find it gives me lower accuracy as the results of distant between keys are short. It takes a while to get used here, but thankfully it does not feel that bad as soon as you get used. The backlit support is featured and having three different level of customizations depending your needs. While the keyboard is not comparable with Lenovo Yoga 720, I still find it as enjoyable and comfortable for long usage.

Performance and Battery
The hardware performance is so demanding especially for users who need powerful horse in portable device. The Intel I7 7500U is a good processor which featuring of dual core CPU at 2.7 GHz clock. It fully supports of hyper threading technology and capable of handling multiple tasks at the same time. The performance in single core itself is more wonderful for an ULV processor. I just hope it has more cores as it offers better processing in doing work like video rendering. Overall, you will find the performance as dependable especially when the thermal issue is totally fine even for 5 to 6 hours of usage.
The balance between its performance and strong battery life might be considered as the biggest selling point to find here. It easily lasts for 8 hours in normal usage and even getting better result in light usage. It should last for entire day without forcing you to bring its charger. One of its USB C port is usable for charging the battery and means you could charge it anytime you want through your battery pack. The fast charging technology is promised here and will charge its 60 percent battery in only 60 minutes.back to menu ↑

I just hope the system has upgradable RAM slots which necessary here. The 16GB is big enough, but once again sometimes users would expect more here.
