The newer version of Fujitsu T938 seems to be a good option for users who are looking for a convertible device with good security features and decent ports selections. This is what this manufacture promises to its consumers in the 2018 and its successfully taken so many people for interested to take a look at it. The T938 is basically the similar convertible machine like its competitors offer to us with some minor improvements which being typical of Fujitsu. In term of performance, the system features of fast SSD storage, big memory capacity, and accompanied alongside with 8th generation CPU.
They put the price for under 1200 dollars which considered as competitive enough here. However, for some reasons they include of HD display that some people think as pretty bad considering how expensive the price is. His competitors even manage to offer the 4K resolution panel at the same price level. This thing should be a good consideration for you to think before you want to decide for having it as the replacement for your old laptop. Let’s take a look at it further and see how it works on us. That is what we are going to talk about here. Without further ado, let’s we jump into the article.
Design and Connectivity
The design looks promising in my opinion as the base unit of the chassis is fully designed from metal while the rest of the chase itself is built from roughened plastic. I am so impressed on seeing how well built the chassis made and I don’t see a gap between these materials. Interesting, they make the battery is fully removable here which quite weird considering every manufacture always put of un-removable battery on their every laptop. You can remove the battery pretty easily without needed for any additional tool. You just need a tool when you need to remove the maintenance hatch for upgrading the component inside.
The portability is being the number one aspect to see from this machine. The rotation joint is the unique way for Fujitsu to deliver the new way for users enjoying of their way of working or having fun on multimedia purposes. It allows for users to adjust the screen into whatever they want and it sounds of promising for users who want for more portability. As for the connectivity, you have every port you need included the Ethernet, HDMI, standard USB ports, and even USB type-C port. For both of design and connectivity, there is nothing you should worry here.back to menu ↑
Display and Input
The display is probably where the thing is fall off here. Fujitsu offers of two different display configurations included the one with TN HD resolution and the second one with IPS FHD resolution. I have seen a very good review for the IPS FHD display, but here I only manage to get the HD one for this review. In term of quality, the panel looks standard and being typical of budget device. The panel can only provide an average brightness support and standard color accuracy. I don’t really recommend you to buy it for photo editing because the panel just looks bad. Just make sure to pick the FHD one if you want something better to see here.
As for the input display, the keyboard features an overall nice travel distant between keys and having clear actuation force. Unfortunately, the keys are smaller than I thought, but hopefully the users with small hands won’t find a bad experience for using it. I am still able to use the keyboard for long term typing for a while without any problem. The same impression found on its touchpad. The keyboard is responsive enough to use for navigating through the system, but I found the touchscreen works even better here.

Performance and Battery
Many premium laptops have started to ship with Intel Kaby Lake R generation CPU and Fujitsu basically does the same thing here with their series line up. For this case, we have of Intel Core I5 8250U which features of quad core CPU clocked at 1.6 GHz. The processor is supported by hyper threading support and means able to take 8 works at the same time in relatively decent performance. It’s then combined with 8GB and 256GB SSD. There is only one slot for each memory and RAM and means users can just replace the hardware, but you cannot add more. For light and medium usages you are not going to find any problem in matter of performance.
The T938 will offer of 7 to 8 hours of battery usage in real life test included of editing document, browsing, and even running some heavy works during the day. The competitors will give you more battery life, but 8 hours is probably more than enough to finish all of your work with no need to bring your charger anytime you want to use it for your work. This can be a good consideration for having this device as the replacement for your old system.
The Lifebook T938 13 inch could be a better option to afford by everyone if only they add an HD resolution display here. The rest of thing is pretty fine included the design, battery, and the performance. For under 1200 dollars, the display is probably the biggest drawback that will make users getting away from it. You could spend your money for buying the more expensive model, but keep in mind you also have better option to spend at the same price level. The choice is yours, so feel free to take any consideration about it. Thank you very much for reading the article and see you again next time.
